Aston Villa fans have serenaded teenager Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba ahead of Wednesday’s Europa League final in Istanbul, hailing his impact on the club’s European run.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, footage online shows the attacking midfielder being lifted by supporters as they sang that he was one of their own.

Signed from West Brom for one million pounds at 16, he made his Premier League debut in December, then spent the second half of the season on loan with the Baggies in the Championship.

Before that switch, he came off the bench in January and scored in a 3-2 win over Red Bull Salzburg, a result that secured second place in the league phase.

Despite only five first-team appearances for Villa, many supporters credit Jimoh-Aloba with a major say in the journey to the final.

He may not be in Unai Emery’s squad in Türkiye for Wednesday night’s final, but he is firmly in the songs of those following Villa.
