According to The Athletic, Aston Villa have made an enquiry to Bayer Leverkusen about striker Christian Kofane.

The report adds Leverkusen have no intention of letting Kofane leave before the transfer window closes in a week.

Villa made contact as they view Kofane as a possible replacement for Ollie Watkins, who has been linked with a move to Al Hilal.

Kofane is a 20-year-old Cameroon international.
