Former Hannover 96 attacker Nicolò Tresoldi (21) has scored 23 goals across all competitions in 2025/26 as Club Brugge claimed their 20th Belgian league title. The German youth international has since been linked with a return to Germany, but the young attacker naturally has many admirers.

According to a report from The Athletic, Borussia Dortmund are showing an interest in signing Tresoldi, alongside England’s Aston Villa and Spain’s Atlético Madrid. With Serhou Guirassy’s (30) Dortmund future uncertain with Fenerbahce lurking, the Ruhr club are keeping their options open when it comes to bolstering their attack.

Die Schwarzgelben could also be forced to enter the market should Karim Adeyemi (24) depart. The German attacker scored seven goals and provided four assists in 28 Bundesliga appearances in 2025/26, but started less than half of his games and missed out on Julian Nagelsmann’s 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

And with one year remaining on his contract with no sign of an agreement in sight, The Athletic have named Aston Villa as one club that is aware of the situation. According to Bild, Adeyemi currently earns around €6.5m but wants over €10m, as well as a release clause. Going into the final year of a contract is ‘not the preferred solution’ for new sporting director Ole Book, and so a departure could be on the cards.
