According to ExpressAndStar.com, Aston Villa are interested in signing Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, and the forward is open to the move as he seeks regular minutes next season.
Unai Emery’s side have already secured Alejandro Garnacho on a season-long loan, with a conditional obligation to buy for a fee believed to be about £40million.
Any agreement for Jackson would reunite Emery with a striker he previously worked with at Villarreal.
Villa are aiming to strengthen up front after selling Morgan Rogers to Chelsea in a British record £117million deal.
For now, Jackson is set to report for Chelsea pre-season, with new head coach Xabi Alonso keen to assess him after Bayern Munich chose not to trigger a £56million option to buy following his loan spell.
The Senegal international has 30 goals in 81 Chelsea appearances since a £32million move from Villarreal in 2023. He departed on loan after the club signed Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.
