The match officials for Leeds United’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon have been announced with Robert Jones set to take charge at Elland Road.

The Select Group official is in his seventh season in the Premier League, in which time the 38-year-old has overseen 98 top-flight matches beginning with a 2019 meeting between Brighton and Sheffield United.

The Merseyside-native has worked his way up the English football pyramid, with over 150 EFL appearances.

The Whites have a good record in their 19 matches to be refereed by Jones, winning nine times and drawing on five occasions.

Villa, meanwhile, have recorded six wins in their 21 matches officiated by the referee, losing 10.

On his last visit to Elland Road in the top-flight the hosts were victorious, beating Nottingham Forest 2-1 in 2023 with Jack Harrison on the scoresheet.

Keeping up with the action from Stockley Park is Video Assistant Referee Paul Tierney and Additional VAR Ian Hussin.
