The match officials for Leeds United’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Saturday have been announced, with Michael Oliver set to take charge at Villa Park.

The Select Group official is in his 16th season in the Premier League. In that time, the 40-year-old has overseen 418 top-flight matches beginning with a 2010 meeting between Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers.

The Northumberland-native has worked his way up the English football pyramid, with more than 100 EFL league matches officiated throughout his career.

He has also overseen 70 UEFA Champions League and Europa League matches, 2 FA Cup finals, an EFL Cup final and games at the 2022 World Cup and 2026 Club World Cup.

In their 18 matches refereed by Oliver, the Whites have won five and drawn four. This season, the official oversaw the Whites’ 2-2 draw against Bournemouth, with Joe Rodon and Sean Longstaff scoring, and the loss away to Brighton.

The opposition, meanwhile, have 14 wins and seven draws in their 40 matches refereed by Oliver. In his last match at Villa Park, the Birmingham outfit defeated Manchester United 2-1 in December.
