Aston Villa are monitoring Como winger Martin Baturina as they look to strengthen their attack this summer. The 23-year-old Croatia international was influential in a season that saw Cesc Fabregas guide the Italian club into the Champions League.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Unai Emery wants more pace in wide areas and Baturina, also tracked by Bayern Munich, is of interest, though any move could be complicated by a valuation of more than £50 million.

Emery is also keen on Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye, with competition for the 18-year-old.

Villa are among several Premier League clubs to have considered Harry Wilson, who is due to become a free agent at the end of the month.

Newcastle’s Harvey Barnes features on the shortlist after a strong campaign in which he scored 16 goals in all competitions.

Beyond attacking additions, Emery wants a right-sided defender who can also cover at full-back.

Goalkeeper would become a priority should Emi Martinez depart. Villa have no desire to sell, yet a suitable offer would prompt them to consider moving on from the No 1 of the last six seasons.
