Aston Villa are reportedly preparing to launch a bid for Roma defender Roger Ibañez.
Corriere dello Sport claim that Unai Emery is ready to move for the Brazil international as his future in the Italian capital remains uncertain.
Ibañez is said to have made the Premier League a preferred destination in the likelihood that he does leave the Giallorossi this summer.
The report also suggests Villa will need to match Roma’s valuation of between €25m and €30m to be successful in their pursuit of the 24-year-old.
Ibañez joined Jose Mourinho’s side in 2021 from Atlanta following a successful season-long loan and has made 149 appearances in all competitions.
Villa have already added Belgium midfielder Youri Tielemans to their ranks on a free transfer from relegated Midlands counterparts Leicester City.
