Aston Villa are said to be showing keen interest in Morgan Gibbs-White as attention turns to the summer window. TEAMtalk reports that an offer of about £65-70 million could tempt Nottingham Forest to sell.

January was quiet at the City Ground, with minimal changes to the squad. A busier summer is likely, regardless of how the Reds' fight to stay up unfolds.

Gibbs-White, 26, attracted heavy speculation at the end of last season. He came close to joining Tottenham Hotspur last summer but instead signed a new contract on the banks of the Trent.

The report also casts him as an excellent fit for Unai Emery at Villa Park, while Spurs are said to retain admiration. It links Villa’s interest to speculation over Morgan Rogers’ future. Any bid is suggested to be unrelated to Forest’s survival fate.

Since arriving from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2022, he has made more than 150 appearances and remains a key figure. He is under contract until 2028.

Forest host his old club on Wednesday night, 7.30pm kick-off.
