Aston Villa sign Danish international forward Vangsgaard

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Villans this morning,
The 29-year-old attacker joins Aston Villa from Serie A Women Athora club Juventus. Aston Villa have paid an undisclosed fee to secure the player’s services.
Vangsgaard is a very experienced forward. She represented Fortuna Hjørring, BSF and FC Nordsjælland in her native Denmark before enjoying spells with Linköping, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus. Vangsgaard was a member of the Juventus side that won a domestic treble in 2024/2025. She leaves the Italian club having scored 11 goals in 62 appearances in all competitions in her two-year spell.
On the international stage, Vangsgaard has been capped by Denmark on 46 occasions while she has scored 14 goals for her country.
After adding Vangsgaard to the Aston Villa squad, the club’s Director of Women’s Football, Marisa Ewers said: “She’s a player with proven quality and experience at the highest level, and we’re delighted to bring her to Aston Villa.
“She will add valuable quality to the group as we continue building towards our ambitions for the new season.”
Vangsgaard is Aston Villa’s third signing of the summer transfer window.
