TEAMtalk reports that Leeds are well positioned to secure the 20-year-old on loan, with Aston Villa, Brighton and Hove Albion, Brentford and Everton also showing interest.

SportsBoom claims Villa are currently frontrunners, with negotiations expected to accelerate in the coming days.

Sunderland are pushing to deepen Regis Le Bris’ squad ahead of a Europa League campaign and a congested schedule.

After the final-day win over Chelsea, Le Bris said he does not expect a repeat of last summer’s turbulence. He stressed recruitment remains crucial, noted the structure around him has improved and said the club can now scan a wider market.

Bardghji, formerly of FC Copenhagen and a Sweden international, has been linked among Sunderland’s wide options, but rival interest means any pursuit could be complex.
