Paris Saint-Germain are exploring several options to bolster their attack for the second half of the 2024-25 season, with Aston Villa forward Jhon Durán now emerging as a potential target.
A more recent update from CaughtOffside reveals that PSG are still uncertain whether to meet Aston Villa’s £60 million asking price for the forward as they continue to assess his potential.
The report also highlights that Barcelona, Napoli, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich have expressed interest and asked about the terms of a possible deal.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has since reported PSG’s continued interest in the forward, though negotiations could be tough due to Villa’s £80 million price tag. This high valuation comes in part because of Durán’s impressive form and his recent contract extension, with Villa only willing to sell for an exceptional offer.
PSG are reportedly considering including Randal Kolo Muani or Marco Asensio in the deal, as they believe Durán’s value is about £25 million lower than Villa’s asking price.

Foot Mercato reported on Monday that PSG have already held discussions with the representatives of the 21-year-old striker in recent days. The club plans to make a strong move, as Durán is reportedly interested in the sporting project at the French champions. However, the report also notes that Aston Villa have no intention of letting the player go during this winter transfer window.
MailSport’s Tom Collomosse reported this past weekend that PSG view the Colombian as “gettable” to bolster their No. 9 position.
“Whether it’s this window or the summer, PSG believe Duran is gettable and he’s high on their list,” Collomosse said. “May prove too tricky in January, especially as Villa would need to replace him, but one to watch.”
