Borja Bastón has reportedly set his sights on a summer move to Real Zaragoza.
The striker signed a short-term contract with Aston Villa in January, but has failed to impress during his time in the Midlands.
Both he and the Villains will have to make a decision if they want to extend their agreement beyond the end of June should Premier League games resume by then.
Either way, his future almost certainly lies back in Spain, with Segunda División side Zaragoza already confirming their interest in the 27-year-old.
Zaragoza’s sporting director Lalo Arantegui has publicly admitted that the club are interested in bringing him back to La Romareda.
“Borja Bastón is very valued for what he did here and very appreciated by the fans,” Arantegui told La Jornada on Aragón TV.
According to Marca, Bastón scored 22 goals in 38 league games during a loan spell at Los Maños from Atlético Madrid in 2014/15.
“He is a name worth more than his value on the market; we have to value him,” Arantegui added.
Bastón signed for Swansea in 2016, but spent his final two years on the Welsh side’s books out on loan to Málaga and Alavés.
