With his gala performance in the 6-2 win against SC Freiburg, Michael Olise once again underlined why he is currently one of the most sought-after attacking players in Europe. Five direct goals, including three assists and two goals, made the 23-year-old the outstanding man of the match – and at the same time ensured that the rumors of international interest picked up speed again.

The winger has been the focus of numerous top clubs for months and clubs in England, his second home, are following Olise’s development with great interest. According to information from the British portal TEAMtalk, Liverpool FC and Manchester City in particular are looking closely at the attacking all-rounder – and are even said to be prepared to pay astronomical sums for him.

According to the portal, Liverpool and City are willing to invest up to 200 million euros to sign Olise, which would be an absolute record for both clubs – and at the same time a clear signal of the extraordinary esteem in which the Frenchman is now held.

Liverpool are urgently looking for a successor to Mohamed Salah. The Reds invested heavily last summer, including in Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, but despite this offensive, Olise is seen as the missing piece of the puzzle for the future.

There are also many signs of a shake-up at Manchester City. The imminent departure of Bernardo Silva is expected to play a key role, as the Portuguese’s contract expires in the summer. According to the English media, a major offensive transfer is planned.

Bayern take a clear stance – Olise remains unsellable

The reaction in Munich is as clear as the growing desire on the island. FC Bayern are not considering selling the attacking star. Olise has not only made an impact this season in sporting terms, but has also signed a long-term contract – and represents exactly the type of player that will shape Munich for years to come.

Sporting director Christoph Freund underlined this on Sky90 at the beginning of October: „We have no stress at all. We have a long-term contract. He has of course really hit the ground running, has taken another step forward. We could well imagine him playing at Bayern Munich for the next few years, seven, eight years, nine years.“

These words leave no room for interpretation. Despite possible record sums from England, Munich are determined to keep Olise – probably also because he has become a key player under Vincent Kompany, who has a decisive influence on the record champions‘ attacking play.

While Liverpool and City continue to plan their future models and discuss Olise internally, one thing is certain in Munich: the Frenchman should become a central element of the coming FCB years. The fact that the Premier League heavyweights would be prepared to invest up to 200 million euros shows his enormous international appeal – but does not change Munich’s position.
