Inter Milan star Francesco Pio Esposito addressed the press after last night’s precious Serie A victory over Atalanta.
Speaking Domenica Sportiva via FCInterNews, the 20-year-old striker set his priorities straight heading into the new calendar year.
Cristian Chivu’s side will finish 2025 at the top of the table after eking out a narrow 1-0 win in Bergamo.
Indeed, last season’s Serie A runners-up boast a slender one-point lead over second-placed AC Milan, with third-placed Napoli trailing by two.
Meanwhile, Lautaro Martinez scored the winning goal, extending his club tally to a jaw-dropping 166 goals.
El Toro pounced on Pio Esposito’s assist midway through the second half to seal Inter’s fourth consecutive win at the Gewiss Stadium.
Furthermore, Esposito registered an assist only two minutes after replacing Marcus Thuram.
Therefore, the young center-forward made another crucial contribution off the bench, maintaining his impressive season.
Despite playing a prominent role in Italy’s FIFA World Cup push, Esposito insists he remains focused on Inter.

“I immediately had a decisive chance, and I’m happy I made the most of it,” Esposito said after the game.
“We’ll think about March 26 and the national team match in Bergamo when the time comes – it will be crucial.
“Every now and then, it crosses your mind.
“However, right now, it’s only right to focus on Inter because we have so many important matches ahead,” he added.
Then, he delivered his verdict on his game-winning assist.
“I try to do things as naturally as possible. And I saw Lauti unmarked, and my first thought was to pass the ball to him.
“I try to be as unselfish as possible, even though I’m a striker.
“The missed chance for the 2-0? I could’ve been more composed – I let the moment get the better of me,” he concluded.
