Positive news has come in for both Atalanta and Italy after Ivan Juric’s training session in Bergamo on Tuesday, as national team representatives Gianluca Scamacca and Giorgio Scalvini have both returned from injury.
According to reports from various outlets, Scamacca, Scalvini and Nicola Zalewski all took part in Juric’s Atalanta training session on Tuesday following their recent injury lay-offs.
Both Scamacca and Scalvini had torrid times with injuries last year, both coming down with cruciate ligament injuries which kept them out of the first half of the season. Scamacca then suffered another serious injury to his hamstring, and Scamacca to his shoulder, which meant that they both missed the majority of the 2024-25 campaign.

Both players started in Atalanta’s first two matches of the 2025-26 Serie A season, but have both suffered minor injuries which has kept them both out for over a month.
Now, both are back in full training and are pushing to be available for their side’s Serie A clash against Lazio on Sunday. Zalewski, who has missed the last two matches through injury, is also pushing to be available.
