The Bergamo Airport, in fact, will remain closed until 17:00 local time after a plane’s tyre exploded this morning during landing. The flight was from Barcelona, and luckily, the incident did not affect passengers.

However, it damaged the runaway, forcing Atalanta to change their plans and make an extra 116 km trip to Verona to take a flight to Gelsenkirchen at 16:30 local time.

There were issues on the pitch as well as Atalanta wing-back Matteo Ruggeri sustained a minor knee injury and won’t be available for the Shakhtar game on Wednesday.
