Atalanta are poised to bank over €100m from Chelsea and Manchester United before the Serie A window opens on 29 June, according to Football Italia. La Dea continue to stake their claim as Italy’s finest selling club.

Marco Palestra’s move to Chelsea is agreed at a total €60m this summer, while midfielder Ederson is set to join Manchester United for €45m, both including bonuses.

Reports in the last 24 hours indicate Brighton & Hove Albion are interested in 18-year-old defender Honest Ahanor, which could push the total beyond €105m.

Palestra’s imminent switch means Atalanta will have sold a player for at least €50m in each of the last five summer windows.

It remains to be seen how new head coach Maurizio Sarri will use the funds, but recent reports suggest former Juventus and current Nottingham Forest full-back Nicolo Savona could be among the first arrivals. Atalanta are also said to be interested in Lazio defender Mario Gila.
