Atalanta are looking for replacements for Manchester United-bound Ederson in central midfield, but according to transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the Nerazzurri have also set their sights on Nottingham Forest right-back Nicolò Savona.
Atalanta are interested in Nottingham Forest defender Savona, and transfer expert Pedullà reports that the Nerazzurri have already sounded out the Italian’s availability.
A former Juventus defender, Savona joined Forest on a permanent €13m transfer from the Bianconeri last summer.
The 23-year-old scored two goals and provided two assists in 20 appearances across all competitions in 2025-26.
Atalanta are also looking for midfield reinforcement, with Milan’s Ardon Jashari and Samuele Ricci among their targets to replace Ederson, who is set to join Manchester United for €45m.
Pedullà, however, warns that Milan must first find a new sporting director before discussing new signings and potential departures, so no talks with the Rossoneri have taken place yet.

Pedullà confirms that Como’s Lucas Da Cunha is also on La Dea’s radar.
Atalanta have recently hired Cristiano Giuntoli as their new sporting director, who will reunite with ex-Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri, who is set to be confirmed as La Dea’s new coach.

Atalanta are expected to switch to a 4-3-3 system with Sarri in charge after spending over a decade playing mostly with a three-man defence under Gian Piero Gasperini, Ivan Juric and Raffaele Palladino.
