Atalanta are monitoring Parma midfielder Mandela Keita after his standout debut Serie A campaign, joining Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur in tracking the Belgian. ParmaToday reports that their interest is tied to the expected departure of Ederson, who is widely anticipated to leave Bergamo this summer, with Manchester United believed to be ahead of Atletico Madrid for his signature.
Keita differs from the Brazilian in profile, yet he is considered to meet the technical criteria Raffaele Palladino’s side are shaping for next season.
Atalanta’s work is described as exploratory, with scouts having watched Keita on multiple occasions to gauge his physicality and his ability to break opposition lines.
No club has submitted a formal offer.
Keita joined Parma from Antwerp in the summer of 2024 for around €13 million and has since become a cornerstone of Carlos Cuesta’s side. Parma are under no financial pressure to sell, although the right offer could quickly alter the picture.
