Atalanta take on Chelsea in the Champions League at the New Balance Arena on Tuesday evening.

The Serie A side secured a 3-0 victory at Eintracht Frankfurt last time out to climb to 10th position in the standings.

Chelsea also produced a brilliant display to defeat Barcelona 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Atalanta head into this fixture off the back of a 3-1 defeat at Hellas Verona, a result that left them 12th in the Serie A standings.

Despite their domestic troubles, Atalanta have done well in the Champions League, collecting 10 points from five games, the same as Chelsea.

Atalanta have not been prolific, scoring just six goals, but they have conceded only five.

Chelsea drew 0-0 at Bournemouth over the weekend and are now winless in their last three games.

More worryingly for Chelsea, they have struggled on the road in the competition, picking up just one point in two games.

However, the Blues have one of the best attacks, with 12 goals scored in five games, which could help them secure a victory in Bergamo.

A win for either side would move them closer to securing automatic qualification for the knockout stage.

This is the first-ever meeting between the two sides.

Atalanta have a modest record against English opposition, with one win, three draws and three defeats.

Chelsea have recorded 11 wins, eight draws and 10 defeats against Italian teams.

Kamaldeen Sulemana and Mitchel Bakker are sidelined for Atalanta.

Chelsea will be without Liam Delap, Romeo Lavia, Levi Colwill, Dario Essugo and Mykhaylo Mudryk. Cole Palmer is also doubtful.
