Atalanta’s Sulemana sidelined by serious knee injury | OneFootball

Atalanta will be without Kamaldeen Sulemana after the Ghana forward suffered a serious left knee injury in the 3-0 friendly win over Schalke 04 on Saturday afternoon.

He has been diagnosed with a Grade II lesion to the collateral medial ligament in his left knee. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that he is expected to be out for around two months.

Atalanta signed Sulemana from Southampton in the summer of 2025 for €17.5m plus add-ons.

He has struggled to make an impact, with three goals and two assists in 37 competitive appearances, only 12 of them from the start.

The 24-year-old had been hoping for a bigger role this season under new coach Maurizio Sarri, alongside a shift to a trident attack.
