Athletic Club have on Thursday been dealt a potentially significant blow on the personnel front.

After attempting to run the issue off, the Euro 2024 winner was ultimately left with no choice but to limp off, replaced in Los Leones’ XI by Gorka Guruzeta.

An update on Nico’s wellbeing is expected post-match.
