Athletic Club had family ties to thank for helping them power through to the Copa del Rey final against Atlético de Madrid.

But it didn’t take long for the Lehoiak to build on that aggregate when Iñaki Williams opened the scoring with a volley from a floated cross by brother Nico.

The siblings combined again shortly before the interval with Nico this time on the receiving end of a delivery from his elder brother for a close-range finish.

Ernesto Valverde’s side added a third in the second half to reach their third showpiece in the space of five seasons.

The Williams brothers are no strangers to linking up for Athletic Club, having done it five times prior to Thursday, but this proved to be a crowning moment.
