Atlético and Real Sociedad trade blows as Nico González makes it 3-2 | OneFootball

Atlético and Real Sociedad traded goals in a breathless contest, with Nico González striking twice to put Atlético 3-2 ahead.

According to AS, Sorloth put Atleti in front when Giuliano’s throw-in was glanced on by Giménez and the forward finished first time before the ball bounced.

La Real levelled as Matarazzo’s side attacked the weak side of the Atleti defence. Nahuel hesitated, Sucic released Carlos Soler and he lashed a left-footed finish into the top corner for 1-1.

Atlético restored their lead when Nico drove outside. His pass towards Griezmann was not cut out sufficiently by Sergio Gómez, and the Frenchman back-heeled for the Argentine to steer beyond Remiro for 2-1.

The reply was immediate. La Real combined quickly through the middle and, after a Hancko rebound, Oyarzabal swept a superb strike into the top corner to make it 2-2.

Atleti went ahead again as Remiro saved Hancko’s low effort, Ruggeri crossed the follow-up and Nico rose to head home, beating everyone for 3-2.
