Valentín Barco’s resurgence at RC Strasbourg has put him back in demand, with major European clubs circling after a brief, unproductive loan at Sevilla.

Fussballdaten reports that Atlético Madrid are the latest to join the chase, Bayern Munich are monitoring, and a sale could reach 40-45 million euros. Chelsea are seen to hold a strategic edge because Strasbourg and the Premier League club share ownership.

He arrived on loan from Brighton in August 2024 as Marcos Acuña’s heir, but under García Pimienta he played only nine competitive games, with no goals or assists. The loan was cut short in February 2025.

Moving to France, the Argentine, now used in midfield, has produced nine assists and two goals this season. Strasbourg paid 10 million euros last summer to sign him permanently and hold him under contract until 2029.
