Atlético de Madrid have added serious firepower to their attack after completing a move for Atalanta and Nigeria star Ademola Lookman.

Fresh off an impressive spell with the Super Eagles at AFCON 2025, the 28-year-old arrives at Riyadh Air Metropolitano for a €35m + €5m add-ons across a four-year contract.

It has been a brilliant period for the London-born versatile forward over the last four years, exploding for La Dea after failing to truly make his mark with Charlton, Everton, RB Leipzig, Fulham, and Leicester.

Since joining the Serie A side in the summer of 2022, Lookman hit 55 goals in 137 appearances across all competitions, helping Atalanta lift Europa League honours in 2023/24, and being included in the Serie A Team of the Season in 2024/25.

Lookman joins an Atleti outfit bristling with attacking talent during a period where questions surrounding the future of Julián Alvarez are heating up.
