A strong Atlético de Madrid side dominated the early proceedings, but couldn't find a way through until the half hour mark.

Spanish forward Rodrigo Riquelme got the breakthrough, receiving the ball centrally from Samuel Lino before unleashing a wicked half-volley past Francisco Dorronsoro.
But their lead lasted just four minutes. With their first effort on target, Numancia were level as Alain Ribeiro fired home a left-footed area from close range.
As per usual for preseasib, there were wholesale changes for both sides with all 22 players different for the final half hour of the encounter.
It led to a tepid second half, in which ultimately neither side could find a winner.
