AS reports that Atlético de Madrid are interested in William Gomes and that Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle and Roma are also keen. The Porto winger finished last season as the club’s second top scorer with 13 goals.
Porto intend to keep the core of their title-winning side, and William is among those they aim to retain.

Any club hoping to prise him away would need to strike a very high-priced deal or meet his €80 million release clause.
At present, Atlético are not in a position to invest that much in a signing.
That could change if they were to sell Julian Alvaréz to Barcelona, who would be willing to pay €100 million for the Argentine.
