Atlético de Madrid are said to be targeting PSG midfielder Kang In Lee this summer, viewing the former Valencia player as the ideal replacement for Antoine Griezmann, who could leave.

Marca reports that PSG have opened the door to a sale, with an asking price of 40 to 50 million euros. Kang In has been important under Luis Enrique, though not indispensable.

Atlético made initial contact some time ago and tried to bring him in during January, but a mid-season move proved difficult. In a World Cup year, clubs are seeking to line up business early.

The recruitment department, led by Mateu Alemany, has tracked Kang In for a while and hopes the summer window will be decisive. Atlético hope to push from June.

A further obstacle could be the coach’s view, with Luis Enrique showing no inclination to part with a player who, while not first choice, features regularly.
