Atletico Madrid confirm Lookman arrival, transfer pending medical and contract | OneFootball

Atletico Madrid have announced the arrival of 28-year-old Nigeria international Ademola Lookman in the Spanish capital, with the forward set to join once his medical and contract formalities are completed.

According to Football Italia, Atalanta will receive a guaranteed €35m plus up to €5m in bonuses, and Lookman is expected to sign a four-and-a-half-year deal worth around €7m per season.

Lookman has been linked with a move for much of the past 18 months, following his hat-trick in the 2024 Europa League final.

He was close to a switch to Paris Saint-Germain later that year, and more recently has been linked with Fenerbahce.

A total package of €40m will make him Atalanta’s fifth most valuable sale, behind Rasmus Hojlund to Manchester United, Mateo Retegui to Al-Qadsiah, Teun Koopmeiners to Juventus and Cristian Romero to Tottenham.
