Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka could be in demand next summer if he leaves the German club for free.
The 30-year-old joined Bayern in the summer of 2018 from Schalke and has made over 285 appearances for the club.
The German midfielder has won six Bundesliga titles and one Champions League trophy with Bayern, and has scored 46 goals for them.

While Vincent Kompany has largely preferred Alexander Pavloic in the Champions League alongside Joshua Kimmich, Goretzka has been used heavily in the Bundesliga.
He has made 12 starts in the Bundesliga this season and has made a further two appearances from the bench, proving to be a utility player once again.
It is unclear whether Goretzka will stay at the club beyond the summer, as he has not been offered a new deal, but he is unlikely to be sold in January.
Christian Falk has told CFBayern that Atletico Madrid could look to sign the experienced German midfielder for free in the summer.
According to Sky Germany, Barcelona could be interested in signing Goretzka next summer.
Goretzka knows Hansi Flick from their time together at Munich from 2019 to 2021 – first as assistant coach, later as head coach – and at the national team.
He was an undisputed starter for Bayern under his leadership, and the two could be reunited.
There have been reports recently that Goretzka’s representatives have made contact with Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs appear more interested in signing him, and they have initiated talks.
Bayern Munich aren’t, as things currently stand, planning with Leon Goretzka for the 2026/27 season. He’s got a very high salary, and they want to mix things up a bit with the squad. There were rumours aplenty flying about this week as Goretzka was spotted deleting photos associated with Bayern Munich from his Instagram account. So, everybody was wondering if something had happened, but in the end, he’s just not a big fan of social media. So, it’s not the reason why he took such drastic action on his socials.
He’s not playing so well this season – as Serge Gnabry, for instance – to justify a new contract. Goretzka has a market too; he’s very highly-rated in Istanbul. Galatasaray wants him, Fenerbahçe wants him. Those aren’t his first-choice clubs. But then there are also Italian clubs following him; there’s Juventus and Napoli, who are both interested in him. So, he has big chances. If you’re a free agent like Leon, you can get a salary like his Bayern salary. He’ll also have about €17m (£14.9m) gross because he’ll also get a signing fee – Bayern Munich won’t pay that again. I think both sides will shake hands and say goodbye in the summer.
