Atletico Madrid make Mason Greenwood enquiry | OneFootball

Atletico Madrid have joined the race to sign Olympique de Marseille forward Mason Greenwood (24), according to a report from L’Équipe.

Greenwood is expected to leave Marseille this summer, following two full seasons with the Ligue 1 club. La Provence understands that the former Manchester United forward has already given back the keys to his house in Aix in anticipation of an exit. 

The Englishman is opposed to a move to Saudi Arabia, despite approaches. He has an agreement with Fenerbahce, who have so far failed to reach an agreement with Marseille. The same goes for AS Roma, who are keen on the forward. 

Atletico Madrid have now entered the race, as per L’Équipe. OM are demading €50m for Greenwood. The La Liga side are expected to table an offer soon, with Diego Simeone particularly keen on signing the Englishman, especially in the event that Barcelona-linked Julian Alvarez leaves the club this summer.
