Atlético Madrid: Simeone praises Álvarez after his hat-trick
On Wednesday night, Atlético Madrid secured a La Liga victory over Rayo Vallecano thanks to one man: Julián Álvarez. The 25-year-old Argentine striker, signed last summer from Manchester City, delivered a decisive hat-trick.

He opened the scoring early in the match, but Rayo turned things around to lead 2-1. However, late in the game, Álvarez made the difference with two more goals, handing Atlético the win.
After the match, his coach Diego Simeone was full of praise, telling AS:
Julián is the best player we have. We need to look after him so that he stays at Atlético for many years. Every time he makes the difference, he brings us so much.
Already linked with a move to FC Barcelona in recent months, Julián Álvarez continues to prove, match after match, that he is the new star of Atlético Madrid.
