Inter are reshaping plans on the right flank, with Atletico Madrid wing-back Nahuel Molina now ahead of Marco Palestra as the club reassesses summer priorities.
According to Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, Atalanta could demand around €40 million for Palestra, a valuation that is causing hesitation at Viale della Liberazione.
The figure mirrors the prices quoted in the past for Ederson and Lookman and is seen as excessive for a player who could ultimately be Premier League-bound.
That situation could push Inter to pivot.
Especially if Denzel Dumfries attracts a club willing to activate his €25 million release clause.
In that scenario, Inter would need a ready-made solution rather than a costly development project.

Molina has therefore climbed to the top of the list for the summer of 2026.
The Argentine is viewed as a more established profile and a safer investment.
Indeed, capable of offering immediate guarantees in a key role.
Palestra remains appreciated and continues to be monitored.
However, Inter are reluctant to commit such a large sum under the current conditions.
In the meantime, January stop-gap solutions are not ruled out.
Dodò of Fiorentina is liked but would require a significant offer.
Meanwhile Bologna’s Emil Holm has also re-entered the discussion.
