Atletico Madrid have lodged an offer for Atalanta midfielder Ederson as Mateu Alemany prioritises a central midfielder for the summer.

According to Football Italia, the proposal is €35 million plus €5 million in bonuses, while Atalanta want a €40 million fixed fee plus add-ons that could take the package towards €50 million.

The Spanish club tried to sign the 26-year-old in January but moved on after Atalanta rejected their approach. Their persistence suggests he remains a primary target for the close season.

Ederson is under contract until 2027, so he will soon be approaching the final year of his deal. If renewal talks stall, Atalanta’s leverage could diminish.

For now, a gap remains between the clubs’ valuations, and any talks are likely to be revisited in the coming months rather than concluded immediately.
