Tottenham travel to Atletico Madrid tonight still searching for a first win of new interim head coach Igor Tudor’s reign. Spurs have lost all three games under the Croat so far since he took over from Thomas Frank last month. Those have included a defeat in the north London derby to Arsenal, a 2-1 loss at Fulham, and a 3-1 home defeat by Crystal Palace in midweek last week.
Since then, they have had five days to reset, having not played over the weekend due to their early FA Cup exit. They arrive at the Estadio Metropolitano looking to repair their confidence and channel their Champions League form once more, with their only wins of the calendar year coming on the continent. Those have been against Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund.
Atleti, meanwhile, snuck past Club Brugge in the play-offs to earn their contest with Spurs, and Diego Simeone is an experienced customer in this competition. His side sit third in La Liga, albeit well off the pace in the title race. Stay up to date with all the updates with our live blog below.
