Atlético Mineiro beat Vitória 2-1 to climb from ninth to seventh in the Brasileirão.

In the 25th minute Thiago Borbas finished from close range after Reinier's corner assist to put the hosts ahead. After the restart, Reinier doubled Galo's lead with a low finish (63.).

Gustavo Scarpa arrived for Galo (60.), and moments later Reinier struck to give breathing space (63.). Vitória rallied late as Erick fired into the top right (87.) to set up a tense finish.
