Atlético Mineiro decide against activating Tomás Pérez clause

According to O Jogo, Atlético Mineiro will not take up the option to sign Argentine midfielder Tomás Pérez from FC Porto after his loan.

The Brazilian club could have bought 80% of the 20-year-old’s rights for five million euros until the end of this month, a fee that would then rise by around 500,000 euros.

Pérez experienced ups and downs at Atlético Mineiro and had recently been used as a substitute, which pointed to this decision.

He made 18 appearances for the club.

The loan will conclude without a permanent transfer.
