Atletico Mineiro v CaracasTuesday 28 May, 23:00

Caracas have been well out of their depth in the Copa Libertadores and it looks worth opposing them in some way on Tuesday night in Brazil.

The Venezuelans have shipped 15 goals in their five games so far - a group-stage high - with most of the damage being done on the road.

They've already lost 5-0 and 4-1 on their travels, while the reverse fixture against group leaders Atletico brought another 4-1 defeat.

Their efforts so far mean they head into matchday six with nothing to play for; they will finish bottom and therefore may well have one eye next week's Copa Venezuela tie, a priority now following a miserable Apertura league campaign which saw them finish 11th of 14.

As for the hosts, they will be looking to nail down top spot in the pool - they've won four of five so far, scoring 10 goals in the process.

Also unbeaten in Serie A back home, Atletico should win this with something to spare and the look worth backing on the -2 handicap line given how Caracas have been outclassed in this group so far.

Leg 2: Gustavo Scarpa to score

The other bet which looks good is for Gustavo Scarpa to score.

The former Nottingham Forest man is back in his homeland, where he won this competition twice with Palmeiras before heading to the City Ground.

He failed to make an impact on the Premier League but has settled back in well at home and comes into this contest having scored six goals in his last 11 appearances.

While he was only on the bench for the last Libertadores game - one lost 2-0 away to Penarol - Scarpa has been a regular either side of that contest, starting nine of the last 11 matches.

One of the reasons for his move to England was the drive he provided from midfield and his shots numbers were excellent during his previous spell in Brazil.

In short, he should have chances in this match and so this bet at just north of 2/13.00 shot gets the nod.
