Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid team news

Clement Lenglet suffered an injury during the warm-up before Atletico's defeat against Getafe at the weekend and was replaced by Jose Gimenez in the starting lineup. To make matters worse, Rodrigo De Paul then limped off at half-time with a muscular concern.

Both have been included in the squad, however, and De Paul conducted media duties before the game which perhaps hints at his involvement.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, can welcome back Jude Bellingham after he missed the first leg through suspension. The Englishman is likely to start in central midfield, but Dani Ceballos, Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao are absent.

Antonio Rudiger and Thibaut Courtois are back in training for Real in a major boost, although Kylian Mbappe was "carrying out a specific session away from the group" on Tuesday.

Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid prediction

Playing the second leg at home is usually a massive advantage for any side when it comes to knockout football. Atletico will look use the crowd as the 12th man in their attempt to progress.

However, Los Blancos are the masters of this competition and they seems to always find a way through even if their backs are against the wall. The game state should suit the visitors as the likes of Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. are so devastating in transition.
