The brass at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have come to a final decision on the future of on-loan goalkeeper Juan Musso.
That’s according to Relevo transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who has confirmed that the Rojiblancos will not attempt to make the Argentine’s signing a permanent one.
Musso for his part made the move to Spain’s capital last summer, linking up with Diego Simeone’s side as part of a season-long loan from Atalanta.
The 30-year-old was brought in to act as a backup to first-choice Atléti shot-stopper Jan Oblak.
And, for the most part, across his eight appearances in this role over the course of the campaign to date, Musso did a solid job of as much.
Evidently, though, he did not do enough to convince those in a position of power at the Metropolitano of his readiness to contribute beyond the coming summer.
This comes amid confirmation by way of Relevo that:
‘Atlético de Madrid does not plan to exercise its €7 million purchase option for goalkeeper Juan Musso.’
