Atlético Madrid considering move for Juventus star | OneFootball

La Liga giants Atlético Madrid are giving consideration to a summer move for Juventus star Nicolás González.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

It is common knowledge at this point that Atlético Madrid remain on the lookout for reinforcements in the final third with a view to next season.

Despite having tied up a deal for Thiago Almada, the Rojiblancos are understood to want to add at least one more option to Diego Simeone’s frontline.

The favoured option on the part of the Metropolitano brass at present is Atalanta star Ademola Lookman.

With the Nigerian seemingly favouring a move to Inter Milan, however, alternative profiles are now being sought.

And as alluded to above, amid this search, a new name has on Thursday come to the fore.

As per a report from MD:

‘According to transfer market specialist Gianluca Di Marzio, Nicolás González could leave Juventus for a multi-million-pound offer, and Atlético de Madrid has him on their radar.’

Saudi outfit Al-Ahli are also keen on the Argentine international, but Nico is said to be leaning towards staying put in Europe for the time being.
