Tottenham Hotspur Injury Update: Dominic Solanke, Randal Kolo Muani and Ben Davies Latest

Tottenham Hotspur remain unbeaten in all but one of their opening six fixtures this season, despite a growing injury list that has forced Thomas Frank to juggle his squad selections carefully. The recent draw away at Brighton showcased the resilience of the side, yet the absence of new signing Randal Kolo Muani and striker Dominic Solanke underlined the current challenges.

Randal Kolo Muani Fitness Progress

Kolo Muani was a surprise absentee from the weekend clash at the Amex Stadium. The French forward, who joined Spurs on deadline day, has been dealing with a “dead leg” which, according to Frank, has troubled him “for four or five days”.

“It’s just not settling as we hoped for,” the Tottenham manager explained. The forward made his debut off the bench against Villarreal in the Champions League and could now make his first start if deemed fit for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup tie against Doncaster Rovers.

Dominic Solanke Setback

Dominic Solanke’s start to life at Tottenham Hotspur has been disrupted by an ankle problem sustained in pre-season. Frank confirmed last week that the striker is “progressing” and had returned to light training.

“The positive thing is he is back on the grass and has been for three or four days,” Frank said before the Brighton fixture. “He is progressing forward, slowly, but forward.”

Solanke featured briefly as a substitute against Manchester City last month but remains short of full match sharpness. The midweek clash against Doncaster comes too soon, although a league return against Wolves at the weekend looks more realistic.

Ben Davies Nearing Comeback

Long-serving defender Ben Davies has yet to play a competitive match this campaign, and his absence at Brighton was anticipated. Frank provided reassurance, stating: “Ben got a slight twist to the knee. It shouldn’t be anything serious. Hopefully, he will be also available for Wednesday.”

The Welshman’s return could provide important depth to a squad that has been stretched in the early weeks of the season.

Wider Squad Situation

Frank also offered updates on several other players. Yves Bissouma has only just started running again and is unlikely to feature before October. Dejan Kulusevski, recovering from knee surgery, is targeting a return in early 2026. Radu Dragusin and Kota Takai are both working towards late 2025 or early 2026 comebacks, while James Maddison’s ACL injury is expected to rule him out for most of the campaign.

Despite these absences, Tottenham Hotspur have continued to build momentum under Frank’s stewardship. The imminent returns of Dominic Solanke, Randal Kolo Muani and Ben Davies will provide a welcome boost as the fixture list intensifies. Supporters will hope their reintroduction brings sharper attacking options and defensive balance in the weeks ahead.
