Borussia Mönchengladbach and Augsburg are targeting Troyes defender Lassana Simakha, 19, who could sign his first professional contract in Germany. According to L'Équipe, the Bundesliga pair are considering a move to get in ahead of Troyes.

Newly promoted Troyes have begun planning next season's squad and have opened talks with Simakha's camp over a first professional deal. Mathys Detourbet will leave the club for Monaco, via Manchester City.

An athletic left-footed centre-back standing 1.90 m, Simakha has drawn particular interest in Germany.

He joined Troyes from Rodez last summer and is currently on a trainee professional contract running until June 2027.

With German interest building, Troyes may face a fight to keep another academy prospect this summer despite their efforts to secure his future.
