The 29-year-old goalkeeper arrived from Rennes in 2019, making it one of the most expensive goalkeeper signings in the Bundesliga at almost €8m but Koubek has failed to nail down the No. 1 spot.
However, they are yet to find a buyer for the Czech Republic international.
Rafał Gikiewicz was Augsburg’s undisputed No. 1 last season and before that, Andreas Luthe, who left last summer for Union Berlin.
Going forward, 34-year-old Gikiewicz will continue to be Augsburg’s No. 1 under new head coach Enrico Maaßen.
FCA have been relatively quiet so far this summer, signing Maximilian Bauer on a free transfer from relegated Greuther Fürth and signing Arne Maier from Hertha Berlin on a permanent basis for €4.5m.
