"Aurelio was always a reliable team player for us and showed great professionalism in his commitment to the team," said Eintracht sporting director Timmo Hardung. "With this in mind, we have acceded to his request for a new sporting challenge."

"Both the club and the city [Copenhagen] are well known throughout Europe," Buta said. "I've heard so many good things about this place."

Frankfurt opted to terminate the defender’s expiring contract early to facilitate the switch.
