Australian club in talks with Thomas Müller

Australian club Sydney FC FC are in talks to sign free agent Thomas Müller according to reports.

According to journalist Vince Rugari of The Sydney Morning Herald, the A-League team are hopeful of signing the 35-year-old.

Müller left Bayern last season following the end of the club's Club World Cup campaign after playing 756 games for the club and scoring 250 goals.

The German had been linked with an MLS club with the player believed to still favour a move to the USA. However, Sydney FC still have an outside chance of landing the forward.

Sydney FC finished seventh in the 2024/25 A-League, finishing just outside of the places for the finals series.
