Liverpool's recent run of difficult form has led the club's hierarchy to weigh significant changes, according to reports.
Respected journalist indykaila News claims that Oliver Glasner, the 51-year-old Austrian manager currently at Crystal Palace, has been identified as a potential successor to 47-year-old head coach Arne Slot.
The report suggests that "the Reds' disappointing results have forced the club's hierarchy to contemplate a potential coaching change, with Glasner emerging as the leading candidate." It adds that Glasner "has been delivering outstanding results with Crystal Palace."
While "at the moment, Slot's position remains secure," the report cautions that "everything could change in an instant."
The interest is reportedly driven by an internal perception at Anfield. There is said to be "a belief that Glasner shares many similarities with former manager Jürgen Klopp," who is credited with having "elevated Liverpool to an entirely new level."
Glasner took charge of Crystal Palace in February 2024. Since his appointment, his record across 84 matches stands at 41 wins, 23 draws, and 20 defeats. His tenure at Selhurst Park is noted for securing an FA Cup triumph, a Community Shield victory, and qualification for European competition.
