AJ Auxerre are exploring a loan to bring back Gaëtan Perrin from Krasnodar this winter, with the forward still well regarded in Burgundy.

According to L'Équipe, the 29-year-old moved from Auxerre to Krasnodar last summer and, despite 20 appearances, has not adapted as hoped in Russia. He is under contract until 2028.

Auxerre would like to take him on loan until the end of the season. Krasnodar’s decision-makers have not accepted that proposal for now.

The possibility of a swift return is said to be gaining ground for the player.

Monaco have also made enquiries in recent days, helped by relations between the clubs’ owners, but have not moved to accelerate anything at this stage.
